Innovative System Solutions from a Single Source
As a specialist in catheters and catheter systems, we cover almost all areas with our tailored solutions.
Areas of Application
Development and production of catheters for all areas
Indwelling catheter
Single catheter
In principle, Ecomedis is capable of developing catheters for any medical application.
This includes catheters for cardiology and gynecology, as well as tissue engineering. Among other innovations, a catheter has been developed that allows for the precise implantation of cultured cartilage tissues.
In all areas: the best solution

Oncology
In the sensitive area of oncology, there are special requirements for the application of infusion solutions. In many cases, an implanted port catheter is the preferred access during chemotherapy treatment.
Urology
We offer top-quality products for nearly every area of urology – from transurethral urine diversion to percutaneous nephrostomy as standard or specialized solutions.
Tissue Engineering
Ecomedis has developed a catheter that allows for precise implantation of cultured cartilage cells. Catheters with sensory features are also increasingly in demand.
ZVK
The central venous catheter (ZVK) is advanced through a large vein to just before the right atrium of the heart. An innovative, novel technical approach to heart support is, for example, the PERKAT™ RV, which we have developed in collaboration with our partners, the Fraunhofer Institute Jena and NovaPump.
Assisted Reproduction
There are a number of fertility techniques and tests that make successful treatment with reproductive technologies possible. Whether it’s ovulation induction (OI), intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), we provide the right product for all these techniques.
Intrathecal Product Lines
From venipuncture to medication administration and the closure of venous access, individual infusion accessories form the foundation of infusion therapy. It is essential to eliminate risks such as infections and infusion errors while protecting staff from needlesticks, blood exposure, and medication contact.
Infusion Systems
Some conditions require the administration of medications directly into the cerebrospinal fluid in the area of the spinal cord. These include chronic pain conditions and certain movement disorders associated with abnormally increased muscle tension. A thin tube runs from the pump beneath the skin at the flank and ends in the cerebrospinal fluid of the vertebral canal. This allows the medication to reach the site of action without passing through the intestines and liver.
