Many Hands – One Team
A significant employer and training provider with technically demanding fields of activity in a specialized segment of medical technology
Working at Ecomedis
Together we achieve more
With a total of 30 employees today, over 600 clients worldwide, and an export share of 20 percent, Ecomedis as an innovative high-tech company in medical technology enriches not only the economic structure in the Münster area. Additionally, Ecomedis has also become a significant employer and training provider in Münster, experiencing double-digit growth rates over the last four years, offering professionally demanding job opportunities in a specialized segment of medical technology.
Many of the machines used are developed and manufactured by Ecomedis itself. This makes technical training at Ecomedis particularly interesting. Furthermore, the growing specialized knowledge of Ecomedis, resulting from ongoing catheter developments, means that not all professional qualifications can be conveyed through standardized training programs.

That’s why the managing director, Frank Schiwek, places great importance on cross-departmental communication and training that goes beyond technical aspects. This includes ensuring that employees understand the specific uses of the products. Despite all the technology and partial automation, manufacturing at Ecomedis still has a manual component of around 75 percent. The employees are committed to precision that is literally checked with a magnifying glass, for example, when it comes to removing excess, hair-fine plastic burrs or particles that are unavoidable during the production process. If such impurities are overlooked, it can lead to unpleasant irritations for the patient. Therefore, Ecomedis employees work with the awareness that they are not just producing random medical technology products, but applications that bring healing to patients or provide doctors with options for gentle and innovative treatments. Ecomedis summarizes this awareness with a guiding principle: “Many hands – one team.”
