From transurethral urinary diversion to percutaneous nephrostomy catheters for urology
Bladder Catheter Production

We have been producing bladder catheters for intravesical stimulation for over 12 years.

Transurethral Bladder Catheter

Transurethral bladder catheters are inserted through the urethra into the bladder. There are two types: single-use and indwelling catheters (also known as retention catheters). Indwelling catheters are self-retaining due to a balloon attached at the tip.
Today, all transurethral indwelling catheters are designed as balloon catheters. In addition to the various shapes of their tips and the number of openings, they are further differentiated into 2-way and 3-way catheters.

2-Way Catheter

The 2-way catheter has one channel for urine drainage and another channel for balloon inflation. This catheter is primarily used for long-term urine management.

3-Way Catheter

The 3-way catheter has a third channel in addition to the channels mentioned above, which is used for the introduction of irrigation solutions. This catheter is primarily used in urology after transurethral surgeries and in cases of severe bleeding in the bladder. The purpose here is to prevent clot formation in the bladder through irrigation.

These catheters may be designed with reinforced walls to ensure that active bladder irrigation (e.g., suctioning blood clots with a bladder syringe) does not lead to lumen collapse.

The filling channel of the balloon is equipped with a valve to prevent the escape of the blocking medium. Sterile distilled water or a special 10% glycerin solution is used as the filling medium for the balloon.

1-Way Catheter

Single-use catheters are used for urine collection, one-time urinary diversion, and intermittent self-catheterization. These catheters have only one lumen. Special multi-lumen single-use catheters are utilized in urological specialized examinations such as bladder pressure measurement.
